Using Gemlo with an internet filter
If your filter blocks Gemlo, here is what the app does, which domains it needs, and the exact request to send to Techloq, Netspark, GenTech, Meshimer, Geder or your TAG office.
Many people at the events we serve use a filtered phone. Gemlo is new, so most filters don't have it categorized yet, and an uncategorized app is usually blocked. We've asked the filter companies to review it. Until they do, you can request it yourself in a minute.
What Gemlo is
Gemlo is an app for conferences and community events. An organizer records a talk on a phone. A few minutes after the talk, attendees get a short list of the key ideas in text, each with the line the speaker said. You keep the ideas you want and can write private notes. Organizers also use it for registration, tickets and check-in at the door.
There is no web browser inside the app, no public feed, no chat and no messaging between users. The content is the event's own talks. Attendees can choose to appear in an event's attendee list with a name, title and optional profile photo, and swap contact cards with a QR code.
What to ask your filter for
Send this to your filter through its request button or support email:
Please allow the Gemlo app (Android package app.gemlo, iPhone bundle app.walkaway.attendee) and these domains:
- gemlo.app and host.gemlo.app
- ubavarelvagynscbccrl.supabase.co (the app's server)
- checkout.stripe.com (only needed to buy paid tickets)
Gemlo is an event app: text takeaways from talks, private notes, tickets and check-in. It has no browser, feed or chat.

Questions organizers ask
Is Gemlo blocked on kosher filters?
Some filters block apps they haven't categorized yet, and Gemlo is new. We've asked Techloq, Netspark, GenTech, Meshimer and Geder to review it. Individual users can request it today using the wording on this page.
Does Gemlo have a browser or social feed?
No. Gemlo has no web browser, no public feed, no chat and no messaging between attendees. It shows text takeaways from the event's own talks, the attendee's private notes, and event details like tickets and the schedule.
Which domains does the Gemlo app use?
gemlo.app, host.gemlo.app and ubavarelvagynscbccrl.supabase.co. checkout.stripe.com is only used when buying a paid ticket.
Our event is for a frum audience. Can we use Gemlo?
Yes. If your attendees use filtered phones, send them this page before the event so they can request the app ahead of time, or contact us and we'll reach out to the filter companies your community uses.
